Better World Studios is a volunteer-led, non-profit Community Arts Center where we believe in “Arts with a Purpose”. Our mission is to foster creative community through the arts for a more expressive, just, and sustainable world. We offer classes and workshops for all ages, studio space for artists, and a venue for various arts events and exhibits.

ABOUT BETTER WORLD STUDIOS
The vision for Better World Studios began in 2021 with the displacement of local artists who needed a new venue to create and display their art, gather and learn, teach, or perform for the community. We developed a concept built on principles of collaboration and reciprocity. Our mission became: Better World Studios fosters creative community through the arts for a more expressive, just, and sustainable world. With the purchase of the historic Hickman Hall building in Graniteville, South Carolina, our vision became reality.
ARTIST & COMMUNITY SERVICES:
Artist Studio Rentals
We offer both private and open studio spaces for artists to rent. Our studios are available for one year leases and are centrally located on the first floor of Hickman Hall.
Display Your Art
Wall space is available for artists to rent on a month-to-month basis, with an extended rental option available as well. Display walls are located on the first floor.
Exhibition Space
Our main gallery space features abundant natural lighting and historic charm of a turn-of-the-century Classical Revival building.
Community Events
Our goal is to provide the community with accessible and limited-cost workshops and events with the aim to foster and grow the creative community.
Event Venue Rental
The second floor of Hickman Hall is available to the public for private event rentals. Our facility features a large open floor plan and additional features.
